I have to pass, but if you only want to do it for fun at home, I don't think you need professional advice. There are lots of cheap PC mics in the 20-30 dollar range which won't have any huge downside for your application.

Macbook air is very light (1.35kg for the 13" screen). Macbook is heavier but more powerful.

Air was intended initially at mobility and pro at performance but over the years the pro is equally lighter as compared to Air diff of 220 gms or so, Pro with a retina display and better processor better graphics better battery life ,with the diff in price of around 150 pounds,the choice would be obvious.

150 pounds? how much in Canadian $?
anyway i guess the difference is more than that
in apple store here in Canada, the air costs around 1050$ nd the pro is around 1500$

It depends on what you inte nd to use it for, Pro would be better investment in the long term.
