I have learned a lot of Italian, through movies such as Superfantozzi and Piovra.
I have learned German phrases through the songs of Rosenstolz, Christina Stuermer and others. I look into the lyrics, I translate the words I don't know. You can learn a lot from songs.
For French I have learned from the songs of Alizee, Joe Dassin, Helen Rolles and others.
For Spanish I listen to Julio Iglesias.
What's your experience? Have you used any movies or songs for learning a foreign language?

Virginia I love to listen to songs by Die Prinzen. They enunciate their lyrics very clearly and often repeat a phrase. Their musical style is an interesting combination of Traditional and modern taking the best from both. The men started in youth singing in the Bach Choir in Leipzig. I prefer their a Capella recordings. The harmonies in this song - "Mann I'm Mond " has more depth than much pop music.
